I swear I'm around. 'Tis the season to be busy... fa la la. A lot has been going on and I just haven't had much time to write. I'll be back soon, I hope.
Maybe its because I'm their aunt, but I swear these two are the cutest kids on the planet! MC is the one on top... a natural born flirt. She already has the little boys wrapped around her finger. No surprise she's daddy's little girl. NC is the tomboy, but that wicked little smile guarantees she always gets her way. She shares her mommy's stubborn personality... through and through.
Its so funny, because watching these two is like watching my sister and I grow up all over again... personalities and all. If you want to know what AC and I looked like many years ago, just take a peek at my nieces.

I found this in my Psych book and thought it was amusing.
Do you keep a journal or diary? How often do you write in it?
Submitted by Kim.
This is it and you can see how often I write. I am getting started on one on my website that I don't mind my family reading. Here's where I get to talk privately about them... lol.
I find it slightly ironic that the chapter in Psychology I'm having so much difficulty getting through is called "Motivation." With the Thanksgiving dinners (which were great) and the essays due today, I just didn't have the motivation to keep up on my Psych work. Oh well, half a chapter to go then I can review it, participate in teh discussion and take the test. I should be able to get that done by tomorrow morning at the latest.
During all this time I've also been trying to get my website back online. I'd been neglecting it and then took it down completely. My family misses the pictures and videos. My friends miss my rants on religion and information on vegetarianism. I'll post the link once its on its way to looking halfway decent.
It has been a long time since I said "I Love You" to someone. Six years ago I was engaged to a man who I should never have even dated. We were so wrong for each other, but I was so desperate to escape the situation I was in. So, when he told me he loved me, I told him I felt the same. I was lying. The relationship was over a few weeks later when he had to choose between his job or me. I guess he was lying too.
I swore the next time I told someone I loved them that I would be sure I meant it. On Saturday night, I told RB I love him. I meant it. Now I just have to hope he meant it when he said he loved me back.
Very busy the last couple days and getting busier. I have two five-page essays and a six minute speech to write within the next two weeks... not to mention all the upcoming holiday obligations. I'm probably not going to have as much time to post, but I'll try to leave a message or two.
Saturday night was about as close to culture as this small-town girl has gotten in years. RB got he and I tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Resch. I haven't enjoyed a show quite so much in a long time.
The show began with a flash of laser lights, screaming guitars, and energetic strings. As the song came to an end a narrator began the story of a lost girl on Christmas Eve and the father searching for her. It tied together an amazing assortment of classical, rock and jazz arrangements. Pyrotechnics, lasers, and choreographed lights ensured that the eyes and the ears were kept entertained.
If you ever see that they are near your town, be sure to get tickets. No matter what your preferred music style, I suspect you will have a great time. You'll be surprised at the variety of ages and types of people joining you in the audience.
I've noticed something rather strange and I'm wondering how long this has been going on. When did the word "god" become a bad word? The other night I was watching a movie on TV. The character said "God damn it!" The censors dubbed out "god" but left "damn it." Today, while watching the classic Password, I heard one of the contestants say "oh my god!." Well, actually what I heard was "oh my __!"
This makes no sense to me. I am Pagan. I don't see the issue with this word. Even Atheists that I know have never shown offense to people saying "god" on TV. I'm pretty sure none of us are really all that offended by the word god. So, why is "god" being censored?
